Dimensions of a Typical Sand Volleyball Court
Our sand volleyball courts are all made by standard court requirements unless otherwise specified. When the project is finished, you will have the most excellent volleyball court playing surface since we only use top-notch technologies and goods.
We adhere to ASBA’s requirements as a proud member and advise, design, and provide materials and installation services for our sand volleyball courts.
- To maximize visibility, a doubles beach volleyball court often extends longitudinally from north to south.
- The dimensions of the court are 26’3 × 52’6, and the specs vary depending on the level of gameplay:
- 9’10” of accessible area is needed for junior high and high school courts, while 15 for college courts.
- Professional courts need the following free space: 19’6″
- Boundary lines: One may use two tape lines or one rope.
- Nets: The dimensions of an outdoor sand volleyball court net are 32 feet wide by 39 feet high.
- The net height of men is a little under eight feet.
- Women’s net height: 7 feet 4 inches
For further security, fixed eye loops on both sides of aircraft wires are often used on permanent commercial sand volleyball courts. For net installation and removal, beach volleyball courts constructed at private homes may be equipped with Kevlar cables or regular ropes.
Poles: Stainless steel, anodized aluminum, galvanized steel, treated wood, or any other robust material will support the volleyball net. The poles must be strong enough to withstand strain without buckling or shattering.
Note: You should cushion the poles for player safety and aesthetic appeal as a safety measure.
On the other hand, we can alter the size of your courts according to the specific area you have chosen for building. The crucial elements are:
There are no obstacles in the way of the primary playing area.
Beyond the limits of the playing area, there is at least nine feet of unoccupied, unobstructed space.
Note: You must ensure that the area you have chosen is free of power wires and other potentially dangerous protrusions.
Sand: Usually, a 1- to 2-foot layer of sand is laid down on the leveled and drainage-ready surface. Less upkeep is required for the court as more sand is dumped. You will need to take more caution on the court if you decide to go with less depth.
A shallow court with moderate gameplay must be leveled approximately once a week. If it is used more frequently, you may perform maintenance tasks more often.
It will be necessary to shovel the sand from the middle of the court to the sides of the court so you can create a smooth playing surface once again.
